Technology Planning Committee
Overview
The purpose of the Technology Planning Committee (TPC) is to identify "What is needed" and discern "What should the university be doing" with respect to technology initiatives. This committee is to initiate business planning activities, identify technology needs in support of those business plans, align technology services to resource commitments, develop IT policies where appropriate (subject to institutional review), and prioritize and commit to mid-level technology initiatives. The committee is also to respond to appropriate agenda topics raised by other areas of the governance structure. Finally, it is to evaluate, synthesize and recommend significant technology initiatives, and propose issues for review and/or action by the IT Steering Committee.
This Committee meets on monthly basis. When appropriate, committee members will subdivide and work within designated subcommittees that are focused on a specific topic of mutual interest
Participation
- Directors within Vice Provost's areas responsible for business / technology planning
- Associate Deans from within schools/colleges of the Academic Deans and other appropriate academic support areas responsible for business / technology planning
- Director from Information Services Division, to serve as Chair of the Committee

The Technology Planning Committee meets the third Friday of the month at Noon - 1:30p.m. in the Purchasing Bid Room, twelve months a year. |
