Information Technology Steering Committee
Overview
A University IT Steering Committee is created to provide the CIO with guidance and support. This Steering Committee is comprised of key users of IT Services and is charged with setting funding priorities for IT initiatives. To that end the Steering Committee shall:
- Review UITS' proposed annual capital and operating budgets, with a goal of matching resources with the institution's key IT needs;
- Review projected timelines for large UITS projects;
- Review, on an on-going basis, progress toward meeting project schedules and make decisions according to the progress made;
- Communicate key information to the UConn community, to ensure a broader understanding of IT strategy and the university's progress toward accomplishing goals.
This group meets as business dictates.
